THB 6,540 a night (around $195). Walking distance to the Night Bazaar. A day of rest for two.
We spent one night of our Chiang Mai trip at the Marriott. The first thing that caught our eye was the entrance, flanked by elephant statues on both sides of a fountain. The rate that night was THB 6,540, roughly $195.
Lobby

The lobby has high ceilings and well-tuned lighting, so it never feels cramped. Lattice panels with traditional Thai patterns and bronze jar sculptures anchor the space. Check-in did not take long.

Inside the lobby sits The Platt, a cafe and bar. The arched structure and rattan lighting are worth a look even if you do not order a drink. They were running a free-flow promotion in the afternoon.
Room

We were assigned a twin room. Our favorite spot was the daybed by the window. Doi Suthep and the Chiang Mai cityscape unfold in one frame, and the two of us sat side by side watching the rain roll in for a long while. That seat alone made us spend more time in the room.

The bathroom separates the bathtub, the shower booth, and the toilet, which is convenient for two people sharing. The bathtub wall is glass facing the bedroom, but the blinds close fully, so it never feels exposed.
Breakfast

We had breakfast at the hotel. It is not overwhelming in scale, but everything is well kept. The first thing you notice is the Lanna mural covering the wall, with juice and milk dispensers lined up beneath it and nuts and cereals portioned into glass jars. They even separate gluten-free cereal, soy milk, and low-fat milk, which impressed us.

The salad bar keeps vegetables in separate bowls, with dressings labeled Italian, Caesar, Thousand Island, sesame, and more. There are composed options like smoked duck and orange salad mixed in, so one plate is plenty.

Fruit leans local: dragon fruit, watermelon, pineapple, longan. Everything sits on ice, so it is refreshingly cold from the first bite of the morning.

The hot section serves local dishes like stir-fried noodles, stir-fried chicken, and northern Thai curry. If you want a taste of northern Thai cooking in the morning, head here. Coffee is self-serve from the machine.
To sum it up, this is a breakfast that invests in bowls, labels, and upkeep rather than sheer variety. For a one-night stay, that felt like exactly the right call.
Fitness Center

We toured the fitness center too. Everything is Matrix equipment, and the treadmills and ellipticals face floor-to-ceiling windows, so you run looking out at the trees. Weight machines and free weights are covered as well. Travelers who want to keep their routine will be satisfied.
Pool

The pool is outdoors, and the late afternoon light is just right. It is not huge, but it never gets crowded, so you can use it in peace.
Bottom Line
THB 6,540 is not a cheap night. But with the Night Bazaar in walking distance, plus the room view, the bathroom layout, the well-kept breakfast, and the fitness facilities, the price made sense for a comfortable day of rest. We recommend it as a mid-trip reset for two.
